This is a pretty, dwarf evergreen conifer with a compact, pyramidal to conical shape and a dense growth habit. By summer, this colourful new growth darkens to a typical blue-green, thus avoiding sun-burn damage during the summer. A recently-introduced variety which is ideal for planting as a container specimen or for incorporating into rock gardens. Can be planted in full sun but prefers a site which is shaded from the harsh afternoon sun as this can cause it to fade.
